Afternoon bird watch at Lukenya hills, the National Museums of Kenya or Nairobi Arboretum, or both. Dinner and overnight at Serena or similar. Meal plan B/B DAY 3 (Samburu) After breakfast drive North East of Nairobi to Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserves. A drive through the Rift Valley and the highland takes you to these reserves which are unparalleled in Kenya for the number and diversity of its game and bird diversity. After lunch, time to relax before heading out on a game viewing and bird watching drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge Samburu Simba Meal plan F/B DAY 4 (Samburu) Morning and afternoon game drives and bird watching are provided. Among the wildlife are the various antelope and all the Big 5 i.e. Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo. All meals and overnight at the lodge. Samburu Simba Meal plan F/B DAY 5: After breakfast, departs for Sweet-water Chimpanzee and wildlife Sanctuary. This Sanctuary is the only one of its kind in Kenya. Visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the Chimps by boat on the Erase Nyiro River. The river forest and savannah grasslands of the Sanctuary are home to 22 orphaned Chimps and a variety of bird-life. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge. Sweet-water tented Camp/similar. Meal plan F/B DAY 6 (MT KENYA) After breakfast, proceed a few kilometers east to Mt. Kenya Safari Club, a luxurious retreat with spectacular views across the forested slopes to the snow capped peaks of Mt. Kenya. Among the activities available within the grounds of these manicured lawns and ornamental pond are- swimming, tennis, gold, croquet, trout, fishing and game viewing. Take lunch, dinner and overnight at the club. Bird watching is possible in the compound and adjacent forest. Mt. Kenya Safari Club/similar. Meal plan F/B DAY 7: After breakfast, depart for Nyeri arriving in time for lunch. For clients staying at Treetops, lunch is served at the Out span Hotel and for those staying at the Ark; lunch is served at the Aberdares County Club. After lunch, a transfer is provided to either Treetops or the Ark, which are strategically situated for game viewing. Have your dinner and overnight at the Treetops /Ark. An afternoon bird watching and game viewing possible, plus a full sightseeing, game and bird watching the following day. Treetops/Ark. Meal plan F/B DAY 8 After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After lunch bird spotting drive in the park, home to stunning flocks of lesser Flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores into a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is World-renowned, with the park being a beacon for leading ornithologists, scientists and wildlife filmmakers. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. Meal plan F/B DAY 9: Awoken by the sound of birds singing, have breakfast then the unforgettable journey to one of the wonders of the world, Masai Mara Game Reserve via Narok- the capital town of the Masai people and the Olkurruk, where the Masai culture is displayed by the Oloo Lolo Masai Cultural Association and thereafter into the Masai Mara game Reserve. Being the Northern stretch of the world’s famous Serengeti National Park it is the scene of the teeming wildebeest and Zebra migration. On arrival have lunch and relax for a bit. Afternoon game drive and bird walks. Have dinner and overnight at a lodge. Keekorok/ similar. Meal plan F/B DAY 10 Spend these days game viewing with a schedule of morning game drives and another in the afternoon. You will have numerous plains game viewing including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. You may have an optional visit to a local Masai village. Masai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers, full of crocodiles and hippos. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Masai Mara, which in fact is a continuation of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to November, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and zebras. Predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions of course, closely follow these herds. Gigantic herds of over 200 buffaloes can also be observed. Meal plan F/B DAY 11 Depart early in the morning for Nairobi via Narok and ascend the escarpment to the highlands East of the Great Rift Valley of central Kenya. A full day is spend in Nairobi e.g. shopping, Internet surfing, meeting friends or an entire morning bird watching with a packed lunch {or early return to hotel} at either Lukenya Hills, Olorgesaillie prehistoric site, Kikuyu Escarpment forest, Manguo ponds in Limuru or Southern par of Kananga Grassland. Later drop off at the airport for your flight home.
