Get My File allows digital download sellers to disguise the real location of where downloadable files are stored online on their web servers. Sellers can then email their customers a special disguised download link to prevent file theft.
For example, a normal download link may be http://www.mywebsite.com/downloads/my_file.zip
Now, there is nothing to stop a data thief from typing http://www.mywebsite.com/downloads/ in their browser and stealing all the downloadable files without paying.
But, with Get My File, the download link will be:
http://www.mywebsite.com/getmyfile.php?file=my_file.zip
The link will then be disguised and the REAL location of the file is not revealed.
Also, if a data thief tries to browse your downloads folder, it shows an Access Denied message.
