Activity Packet/Task Sheets – Water Safety & Learn to Swim
Do you have a child that you would like to be safe in the water and/or learn how to swim? Our task sheets and activities are based on the Red Cross Learn to Swim Program – they will help you identify your child’s swimming level. Each swimming packet has a clear progression of skills that will help your child feel more comfortable in the water and improve their overall swimming ability. Under each skill is 2-4 activities that you can use to facilitate your child’s learning and improvement of each skill (e.g. floating, face in the water, gliding, arm movements, leg movements, etc.).
Do you have a child with a significant physical ability and you would like to find activities that will help them not only be safe in the water, but find activities that will provide purposeful movement while promoting range of motion, increased blood flow, and improving functional movement? We will share activities that are designed to meet your child’s needs.
Are you a coach, educator, or instructor who needs additional activities, ideas, and strategies to meet the needs of individuals in your aquatic program/unit?
