Intelligent 404

Quickly and easily put a stop to 404 errors. I created this script to make sure
I wasn’t losing customers, orders, etc... I hope you like it!
Intelligent 404 is easy to configure and install. Simply edit one file and
upload four files to your web server. That’s it.
Here’s what you do:
1. Open 404.php
2. Edit $host - change to your web address
3. Edit $email - change to your email address
4. Edit $emailsPerDay - default is 25
5. Edit $checkRobots - 0 is off and 1 is on
6. Resave changes
7. Upload four files to server
8. Chmod 404.db to 777
9. Your done!
Test everything out and make sure it’s working properly. If Intelligent 404
doesn’t find the page it was looking for, it will simply redirect the surfer to
your home page. The delay is currently set to three seconds. Feel free to
change that if you like.
If you plan to use the $checkRobots feature, make sure you don’t have a
robots.txt file on your web server. This file would be located in your main
directory. Webmasters usually use the robots.txt file to disallow specific web
pages that they don’t want indexed (ie. download pages or members only
pages).
