Adobe offers two versions of all of the bundles, Standard and Premium. For the most part, this book is more applicable to the Premium version, which includes Photoshop CS3 Extended, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Contribute CS3, and Bridge CS3, among other programs. However, Standard users will find pertinent material in more than half of this book (Parts II, III, and most of IV). There are four major parts to the book, each designed to examine a specific workflow: • Part I covers the Photoshop to Dreamweaver workflow with a focus on building your comp from the ground up in Photoshop and designing in Dreamweaver. • Part II is Fireworks to Dreamweaver–centric and highlights some of Fireworks’s unique graphic abilities as well as specialized tasks in Dreamweaver such as building Web standards compliant, CSS-based navigation. • Part III explores using Flash and Dreamweaver together. Flash video is a primary focus along with basic—but still essential—techniques for using the timeline. The Dreamweaver section details how to integrate your Flash movies for maximum impact. • Part IV covers a longer workflow: Photoshop to Bridge to Fireworks to Dreamweaver with key stops along the way that describe how to heal and otherwise correct photos, tag images for quick retrieval, comp out a form with symbols, and implement a form with full AJAX-driven validation. • Appendix A gives an essential overview to a number of other workflows, including Dreamweaver to Contribute, Illustrator to Photoshop to Flash to Dreamweaver, and Fireworks to Flash to Dreamweaver.
