Planting Tips: Tender Annual. Direct sow seeds after danger of frost has passed or start transplants 4-6 weeks before planting date. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 70-90°F. Most pungent when fresh. Best time to harvest is just as the plant starts to bud, before flower's mature. This heat loving plant requires a good amount of moisture.
