Morning pick up from the hotel you are staying and proceed for sightseeing of Chennai with English speaking guide. Sight seeing of Chennai The capital of the state of Tamil Nadu and the cultural Gateway to South India, Chennai is in some respects unlike other Indian cities. Major places to visit are as follows: The National Art Gallery Built in the year 1907, National Arts Gallery is a red sandstone building, influenced by an archetypal Indo-Saracenic structure. Henry Irwin was designed it and T. Namberumal Chetty was the architect of this superb building. Often described as Victoria Memorial Hall, this museum occupies an important place in Mughal history. The key factors of this place are its motifs, structure and exclusive gallery collections, belonging to the 11th and 12th century. Each article or object on its display is fantastic. Typical handicrafts, beautiful sculptures, metal ware and elegant paintings are credited for the largest tourist attention. Owing to its large size, the gallery is divided into four different sections that are: Tanjore Painting Gallery, Decorative Art Gallery, Indian Traditional Art Gallery and Ravi Varma Painting Gallery. The Tanjore paintings on glass are truly alluring. The miniature paintings belonging to Rajput and Mughal eras are also mind-blowing.
