Shea butter is an off- white or ivory-colored fat extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. The fat derived mainly from stearic acid and oleic acid, is widely used in lotions and cosmetics. Shea butter is edible and is used in food preparation in Africa and also as a protectorate.
The Shea (Karite) tree grows on dry soils on the West African Savannah. This large tree takes about 25 years to produce a fruit, but can grow for several centuries. The fruit itself is similar to an avocado, the nut of which yields the precious Shea Butter.
Our Shea is made the old-fashioned way, by hand, with lots of personal attention to ensure its quality.

Shea is full of vitamins and minerals that promote skin health and rejuvenation. Has a natural SPF of around 15.
It is an excellent base for make-up, allowing the make-up to stay on longer and come off cleaner. Excellent for preventing fine lines, stretch marks, or healing scars. Safe for babies, with only 2 ingredients- Shea nuts and spring water- allergies or reactions are rare.
