100% Natural Tea The history of Ceylon Tea The main crop produced in Sri Lanka until the 1860’s, was coffee. However, in 1869, the coffee-rust fungus killed the majority of the coffee plants and estate owners had to diversify into other crops to avoid total ruin. In 1866, James Taylor was sent to India to learn the basics of its cultivation and manufacture. One year later, after a favorable report on his visit, the first tea seeds were given to Taylor for experimental planting. The original tea garden at Loolecondera covered just 19 acres in 1867. Amazingly enough, some of those original bushes are still producing tea today. 25 Enveloped Tea Bags of 2g 100% Natural Ingredients : 100% Natural Green Tea Ayuveda Register Number : 6/2/1/01/62 Ayuveda Product Register Number : 02/02/FA/13/496
