As an oral supplement, it is most useful as a digestive aid and may help provide some relief from stomach or intestinal cramps – and other gas related symptoms.
Vitabase Peppermint Extract Gels are enteric coated, which means they will not break down until the reach the small intestine which is where peppermint is used most effectively for digestive issues. This also helps eliminate any aftertaste that might come from taking peppermint. We also include Ginger Oil and Fennel Oil in our formulation for their synergistic benefits on the digestive system.
