"My Voigtlander Vitessa is my constant companion when I'm out shooting or just walking for exercise. I recall buying it many years ago from a small camera shop in Scotland, one of the kind of shops that are getting increasingly rare to find. At that time, I thought I had wasted my money, but I was soon proved wrong when my first test film arrived back from the processors! Small, but solidly built and takes stunning pictures........ can't remember what I paid for mine, but even if you have to pay $700 for one of these, the camera is well worth it. And your children's children will still be using it...!"
The camera is in very good condition for it's age with no damage -- note the clean and dent-free edges, aside of from normal wear and tear.
It is testament to the engineers who designed this camera, that we are still able to use them today, and will continue to do so for another 30 years!
And just look at the styling -- looks like a modern sports car in profile.
The lens, which is the afore-mentioned Ultron, has the highest specification that was available at the time, and even today, is very hard to beat!
An added advantage is the meter, which makes exposures as easy as pie!
Some professionals agree that if this camera were to be produced today, using the same materials as used at that time, the total cost would be in excess of $1500 !!
In fact, this camera sells for around $750 in specialist camera shops! For us, even at that price, the camera is still a bargain!
The lens is completely free of fungus or any other mark.
All the speeds and iris settings work fine and the rangefinder is accurate. The chromework is so shiny, it looks like it was manufactured yesterday!
If you are familiar with vintage cameras, you will know that most of them usually have dents on the corners etc, but this one is in almost immaculate condition.
Comes complete with it's original leather e/r case.
A true relic from the good old days of the swinging 70s and ideal for your collection or to use everyday.
