Scoop was born on August 1, 1996, and his poem reads:
All day long he scoops up fish
To fill his bill, is his wish
Diving fast and diving low
Hoping those fish are very slow!
This funny-looking bird is quite a character. His body and wings are a bluish gray, and he has bright orange feet and an enormous bill. Black button eyes and black thread nostrils give him a humorous look. Surface wash only. --Peggy Etra
