Pole Dancing Craze - I Made $4,000 A Week Teaching Pole Dancing And So Can You!
"Are you worried about money? Would you like to be your own boss? Do you feel that you lack confidence? Would you like to be in better physical shape? What if I told you that you could do all of that in one fell swoop - interested?"
Chapter 1 - Introduction
When my husband left me with two small kids, I was in shock for
about a month. I had no idea what I was going to do. I married my
husband out of high school and had kids right away. I never really
worked except at menial type jobs but I knew that those jobs wouldn’t
support my kids.
I was thinking about applying for public aid when a friend suggested
that I go into business with her doing pole dancing parties. No way,
I said, thinking that this was stripping.
No! Pole dancing parties are for women! She explained. She then
went on to tell me that pole dancing parties were the hottest craze in
exercise parties for women.
That this was a way for women to not
only get together for a girl’s night out, but also to learn how to
exercise, do some dancing and even learn erotic pole dancing. There
was no nudity involved at all - it was all about being fun and acting
sexy.
I remembered one time when my ex husband asked me to do a
striptease for him. I refused because I was ashamed of not only my
body, but my dancing abilities. My friend said that the pole dancing
party not only was a fun way to meet other women my age with kids,
but also as a way for us to learn how to pole dance, with our clothes
on, so that we can be more confident with our bodies and ourselves.
I went to my first pole dancing party with my friend.
It seemed like a
Tupperware party at first. The ladies who were there were all like me.
It was far from being a party filled with gorgeous and well built
women.
The instructor of the party seemed to be a few years older than me
and even a few pounds heavier. But there was something about her
that really struck me and that was her confidence. This girl really
seemed very confident and sure of herself. After snacks and
introducing ourselves to one another, the party got started.
The girl who ran the party, whose name is Janice and with whom I still
communicate, brought out a pole and put on some music. We all
giggled uncomfortably as Janice began embracing the pole and then
practiced some pole dancing moves.
Soon, we were all transfixed on Janice and her pole dancing. She
seemed as if she and the pole were one. Yes, there was something
erotic in her moves, but it was also very athletic and seemed like a
fun, if unusual, way to exercise.
Then the hard part started. We all had to take turns learning a few
pole dancing moves. When my turn came, I was terrified. I have
always been self conscious and the only thing I could think of was my
ex husband asking me to do a strip tease.
If only he could see me now, I thought to myself.
Strangely enough, the pole dancing was not difficult at all. Once
Janice taught me a few moves, I seemed to get the hang of it. As a
matter of fact, I seemed to get the hang of it more than any of the
other girls there. And more than that, I felt that my inhibitions began
to melt away as I continued with the pole dancing. My companions
clapped when I was finished with my “routine.â€
I didn’t feel dirty or like a stripper. It was something strange to feel
back then, but now I realize that what I felt was confidence. I was
confident because I had done something that I never in a million years
would have thought of doing before. And I was proud of myself.
Best of all, the other girls thought I was good. I thought I was good.
I felt like someone who had value for the first time in my life.
But what was I going to do with this new found skill? I certainly had
no intention of being a stripper and pole dancing for a living. I
remember very clearly thinking how it would be fun to do something
like this for a living. After all, I liked performing. I just never wanted
to take off my clothes.
It was Janice who approached me after the party and made the
suggestion to me. You know, you were really a natural out there,
she said.
I must have mumbled something like thanks and Janice asked me if
I was interested in possibly learning how to become a certified pole
dancing instructor so that I could host my own parties. I told her I
would think about it. But with nothing but bills staring me in the face,
I didn’t have to think for long. I had to do something and Janice said
she would guarantee me about $500 a week. That was a lot of money
for me back then.
I told her I would take the offer but that there was no way that I was
getting involved with any nudity and had no money for lessons or any
supplies. Janice said that she would help me out as she was sure that
I had great promise in this business.
I started taking pole dancing lessons at Janice’s house every afternoon
for two weeks. I had my neighbor baby sit my kids and I didn’t dare
tell anyone what I was doing. After two weeks, Janice said I was
ready to go out on my first appointment. It was a bridal shower and
the girls wanted to learn pole dancing. I had the pole from Janice and
was a little nervous, but figured it would be fun. After all, I had
practiced for two weeks so I had to be better than them.
Each girl paid $40 for the pole dancing lessons. There were 10 girls at
the shower. I came back with not only $400, but also $50 in tips. Not
bad for my first pole dancing lesson party. And it was easy, too. But
this was not the $500 a week easy money I thought it would be,
although it was close. And I knew that Janice couldn’t count on
getting a bridal shower every week.
I started asking questions about Janice and her business and about
how she was advertising. I found it very nice that she was sharing her
secrets with me. It turned out that Janice had also gone through a
divorce and wanted to help me out. She now envisioned me going on
my own, armed with the knowledge that she taught me, and doing my
own pole dancing parties. The only thing I needed was the pole, which
I already planned to buy with the money.
Then I had an idea. What if Janice and I teamed up. Instead of
competing with one another, what if we became partners and began
running our own pole dancing party business? I knew a bit about
marketing, and a lot about the internet. Janice was the pole dancing
expert. Together, we could make it into a big business.
Janice has since retired as she made the money she needed to move
down to Florida in her retirement home and live, which was always her
dream. I run the business today. Recently, I met a fine man who
asked me to marry him. I vowed when I started this pole dancing
business that if things picked up for me, I would share my secrets with
others.
I was making $4,000 a week with pole dancing parties. Not pole
dancing, mind you - but pole dancing parties. And I hardly ever even
had to host a party. I have a high school education, am far from a
model in appearance and build, but this worked for me. And it can
work for you, too. If you have the desire to get in on this ground floor
opportunity, you can now learn to do so by reading this book.
And I’ll tell you another thing, too. The pole dancing business is the
reason I met the man of my dreams. No, I didn’t meet him at a pole
dancing party (again, these are for women, not men) but at the
grocery store. Yes, you often hear of people who met at the grocery
store but wonder if it ever happens. It does. I asked him a question
about something that I really wanted to know because I thought he
worked there. He smiled and my heart melted.
But instead of scurrying away after he answered my questions, I was
bold enough to talk to him. I even flirted a little and he flirted back.
We went for coffee because he had a break and the rest is history.
And the reason the relationship was able to work? It was because I
had confidence. Confidence that he saw, that others saw and most of
all, that I saw. And it was all due to the pole dancing business.
Congratulations on getting this book. But now I challenge you with
another responsibility and that is to not only read the book, but also
absorb the information and get out there and do it! Talking about
doing something is fine, but successful people take action.
