Reviews
"Of all bestselling authors, Koontz may be the most underestimated by the literary establishment. Book after book, year after year, this author climbs to the top of the charts. Why? His readers know: because he is a master storyteller and a daring writer, and because, in his novels, he gives readers bright hope in a dark world."Publishers Weekly, starred review

LOTS of Thrills & Chills! by: tuliptowntraders (1389 )
I have read a lot of Dean Koontz' books, and he manages to cover a lot of different types of stories. I was pretty skeptical about retelling the classic Frankenstein, but I got hooked on the first book. Frankenstein is a story that actually updates to modern times quite well, or at least it does in the hands of Mr. Koontz. This book scared me so much I had trouble sleeping and had to leave the light on. It has a lightening fast pace, plot twists and turns enough to keep you guessing, and lots of just plain creepy stuff to wow you and scare you. But darn it--where the heck is book 3? As of this writing it hasn't been published yet. Rats!

Frankenstein Dean Koontz by: big_screen_tv (870 )
Very hard to put this book down. Part two in the series that I actually read first. The storyline is well written and the characters are deeply developed. In true Dean Koontz fashion, it is very hard not to root for the antagonist. This book is especially enjoyable on a cold, stormy night by candle light. Five out of five stars on this thriller.

The second of the Frankenstein trilogy is consistent. I can easily envision a movie from this set. Koontz uses a bit of comic relief to help flesh out his main characters--and I found Deucalion a sympathetic protagonist.

awesome book by: insanerobposse (9 )
It was exactly what I expected and was in great shape. It is a greatly written furthering off the Mary Shelly classic tale taking place in modern times with characters the you can understand and even empathize with. Beautifully written and its really hard to put down.
