This is a fine example of enamel arts. Metal box is hand-painted with enamel, fired at high temperatures and set with brilliant Austrian rhinestones. The hinge is under the tail and the front is clasped with a tiny magnet. The box is painted inside and out, giving a smooth texture for storing valuables inside without being scratched.
This measures 3 1/2" x 3". It is a good likeness of a goldfinch on a branch. Note my outdoor photos make it look almost real.
