Wife's father was an avid ham operator until he lost his will to do it as he neared 90 years of age.
His name was Harold Ferguson and went by the ham operator name Fergie.

Harold was a self educated Electronic wizard having worked for the Government on missile systems and researched at University of Wisconsin, Madison.
