This is a 92 percent silver letter-opener fashioned about 50 years ago by an Indonesian silversmith in Bali Indonesia. The handle is a figure of an Asmat primitive warrior from the Irian Jaya area of Indonesia, now called West Papua. It's a one of a kind piece. It has substantial weight to it. Asmat art is VERY collectable. I personally have many primitive wood carvings from there when they were still cannibals and using stone tools. The piece is 19 cm long.
