Festive jubilee coin of 10 roubles "Yuri Gagarin" was issued by the Central Bank of Russia on 11 April 2001, in memory of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. Despite the fact that the coin was released quite a large circulation, it is especially in demand among collectors.
The obverse of the coin is decorated with the inscription "10 ROUBLES", and indicates its nominal value, the number "0" hidden labels – "10" and "RUB", which are alternately visible depending on the viewing angle. Downstairs in the storage ring is the year of minting – "2001", right and left engraved leaves, passing on a disk, over a year is the identification mark of the mint "SPMD" or "MMD". In the upper part of the coin along the circumference the inscription: "BANK of RUSSIA". The reverse is decorated with a portrait of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, at the top, following the coin circumference the inscription: "APRIL 12, 1961" and the bottom is a facsimile signature "GAGARIN". GURT of a coin has about 300 riffles and provided with the inscription "TEN ROUBLES," which is repeated twice and divided by asterisks.
