This is the "sister" of one of the most famous of all Thai foods. Tom Yum Sai is a clear sour soup version of TomYum Khon, which is a creamy Tom Yum more well known though out the world. Though not the most popular version of Tom Yum outside Thailand it is the most common version inside. This is Thai tom yum goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง). Goong is Shrimp in Thai. The most common version of this soup is made with seafood, but you can substitute Pork, Chicken or even Mushroom for a vegetarian version. What I love most about tom yum is the flavors of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, fresh Thai chilies, and fresh lime juice, that all combine to create a healthy and soothing broth that will light up your taste buds. If you’re looking to cook an awesome and authentic soup, try this tom yum soup from Rot Dee. This packet is from local Thai street food style tom yum soup. Follow this recipe on the packet for the authentic taste you’ll find in Thailand. It is Delicious.
