ROSENTHAL'S - SINGERS: When Simon saw the Apostles,Peter and John,laying hands on people to receive the holy spirit he wanted this same power for himself and he was ready to pay for it. Peter saw through Simon right away. This was definitely not a genuine desire for spiritual power. In his heart was a desire to have center stage,and this is the opposite of what God desires to see in us. God wants us to give him the pre.
