LowLock, a TripleClicks exclusive, is a simple, fun, and fast-moving game. Put together winning hands to earn badges, prizes, and dominate the international leaderboard! No purchase necessary to win.

GAME OBJECTIVE:

Your primary objective is to lock in the least amount of points possible. Your secondary objective is to do it FAST...to complete games in the shortest amount of time you can. 

HOW TO PLAY:

Each game starts with a deck of 45 special LowLock cards consisting of four sets of the numbers 1-10 and five special "zero" cards.  NOTE: For scoring purposes, each card's value is the number displayed on the card (e.g. a six card counts as six points).

The deck is shuffled so that all 45 cards are in random order, and the game clock now starts. You're dealt four cards from the top of the deck. You'll get to see two of the cards momentarily (memorize these cards!); the other two are unseen (dealt facedown).

The top card of the deck is then revealed. You now have three options:

1. KEEP this card. If you wish to KEEP this card (to replace a card in your hand), click the Thumbs UP button, then select the card in your hand you wish to replace. NOTE: Your kept card is now "locked in" and will be one of the cards added to your score for the round.

2. DISCARD this card. If you wish to DISCARD the card, click the Thumbs DOWN button. NOTE: If you discard a card, you must subsequently select and lock in one of the unlocked cards in your hand.

3. SKIP this card. When you skip a card, it's rendered irrelevant. That is, it does not add or subtract points from your score, and you are not required to lock in any cards in your hand. It just goes away. You may use up to THREE skips during a game. Skips are an important strategy in LowLock for posting great (low) scores. Using Skips immediately eliminate high-point cards you encounter. PLUS...if you use at least two Skips during the first five hands of a game, you'll eliminate having to add ANY of the points of a would-be sixth hand to your score! This can be a BIG point-saver! NOTE: The number of Skips you have on balance appear in parentheses behind the SKIP button during play. IMPORTANT: There is no cost to use the SKIP button the first time in a game; additional Skips cost one TCredit each (unless you have one or more Skips already on account).

High-Value Tip!  Duplicate cards cancel each other out.  Example: Two 10s in your hand equals 0 points, so always be trying to match cards in your hand!  NOTE: This rule applies only to pairs of the same number (three of the same card, for example, DOES NOT cancel out the points of the third card).

For each hand, you have to decide to keep, discard, or skip a minimum of four cards from the deck.  Once you've locked all four cards in your hand, your score for that round is recorded, and you are dealt a new hand. You'll continue to be dealt new hands until three or fewer cards remain in the deck.  

A single game will consist of five or six hands.  Once there are no longer enough cards in the deck to deal a new hand (fewer than four cards), the game is over; and your final score of all 5-6 hands and the total time it took you to play the game, are recorded.  Based on your score and/or other achievements, you're awarded any Rewardicals or badges earned.

PRIZE POINTS:

While the main objective of LowLock is low scores, you’re also earning a separate set of “Prize Points” (points for earning recognition and prizes) as you play:

* You’ll start each game with 1000 Prize Points.  After 90 seconds of game time, you will lose 3 points every second (until the 1000 points are gone).

* For each game completed with a score of 40 points or less points, in four minutes or less (a “Lock Star” score), you’ll automatically earn 500 bonus Prize Points.

PRIZES:

Each time you achieve a "Lock Star" game (a score of 40 points or less—in four minutes or less), you’ll receive a free entry in the Daily Crown drawing for the following day, where you can win a share in 75,000 Rewardicals! You get 580 chances to win with each Daily Crown entry!

If you are in the top 10 for most LowLock Prize Points scored during the month, we’ll send you a free LowLock Lock Star Champion t-shirt (shown at right)! Limit two t-shirts per player/year.

PLAY & WIN LIMITS:

You may play up to 12 LowLock games daily (TCredit required on games 3-12).  No purchase is required to play LowLock or win prizes!

TIPS:

1. Just clicking one of the three options (Thumbs-Up, Thumbs-Down, or Skip) doesn't mean you can't change your mind. If you realize you've selected the wrong option, just click one of the other options before proceeding.

2. Try not to leave yourself with more than three cards in the deck after your first five hands to prevent having to play a sixth hand and having to add the extra points for this sixth hand to your total score. Use Skips during your first five hands to decrease your sixth-hand points or eliminate a sixth hand altogether.

3. LowLock is a numbers game that requires both a short-term and a long-term strategy: work towards low-score rounds, but don't forget a low-score GAME is the primary objective!

4. Taking a chance and turning over one of your two unseen cards in your hand early on can be a good strategy because, even if it's a high-point card, it can give you time to match it and, thus, cancel it out for zero points.

5. If one or more of your "seen cards" (the two cards you were dealt initially and you memorized before they were turned over) is a low-point card, hold off locking it in as long as you can, to give yourself the opportunity to be dealt even more valuable cards (like a zero card).

6. If you forget the values of your "seen cards," you can get another look at any point during a game by clicking the eyeball icon. Each peek, however, will cost you one TCredit.

7. To keep your time low, have some TCredits on hand before starting a game for Skips and/or Peeks.

8. On the screen where you're told you have five seconds to memorize two of your cards...you can skip ahead and save a little time by clicking on that text.

9. Be sure to try LowLock with the sounds effects ON to really bring the game to life. Click the speaker icon (located in the top left corner of the screen) to turn sound on or off.

10. On small mobile devices (e.g. smartphones), play LowLock in vertical mode for the best experience.

11. You can acquire additional Skips in TWO different ways (NOTE: your total Skips on hand appear in parentheses behind the SKIP button during play):

* At the Rewardical.com exchange, you can redeem your Rewardicals for Skips—just 12 Rewardicals each! You'll find LowLock Skips under the "Lifelines" panel. IMPORTANT! All Lifelines acquired via Rewardicals expire in 30 days.

* Each time you match a pair of 10s during a game, you'll automatically receive one free Skip. It will be added to your Skips balance at the end of the hand, and you can use it immediately or anytime later.

12. We will be making Peeks available for Rewardicals (i.e. you will be able to redeem your Rewardicals for this LowLock lifeline soon).

Lock Star
Earned upon scoring 40 points or less in a game (in four minutes or less). Add bronze trim upon achieving 20 Lock Stars, silver trim upon achieving 50 Lock Stars, and gold trim upon achieving 100 Lock Stars.

Bronze Trim: 200
Silver Trim: 300
Gold Trim: 400

Zerotastic
Earned upon scoring a zero in a single hand. Add bronze trim upon achieving 50 Zerotastics, silver trim upon achieving 100 Zerotastics, and gold trim upon achieving 200 Zerotastics.

This badge is awarded to those who achieve the highest number of points playing LowLock for the past 60 days.

High Score (90 Day)

This badge is awarded to those who achieve the highest number of points playing LowLock for the past 90 days. 

Badge Quest Points: 300

High Score (All Time)

This badge is awarded to those who have achieved the highest number of points all-time playing LowLock  and expires if and when another player achieves a higher score. 

Badge Quest Points: 500

LowLock Milestone Badge

Earn your first LowLock Milestone badge playing your 100th game. Your badge is then automatically upgraded upon playing your 500th, 1000th, 2000th, 5000th, and 10,000th game.

LowLock Leaderboard

The LowLock Leaderboard badge is awarded for earning enough Prize Points to make the Leaderboard. The minimum leaderboard rank to receive a LowLock Leaderboard badge is 500. Add bronze trim by achieving a top 200 rank. Add silver trim by achieving a top 50 rank. Add gold trim by achieving a top 10 rank. Note: So that all players have the opportunity to reach the top of the leaderboard, Prize Points won are reduced by 30% every 30 days.

Monthly Champ

Get this badge when you place within the top 20 leaderboard rank for LowLock for the previous month. Get the basic badge for placing within the top 11 to 20 ranks. Add a bronze trim for placing within ranks 3 through 10, a silver trim for winning the Runner-Up slot, and a gold trim for the Champion score.
