Why do I keep getting logged off at the Affiliate Center?

02/10/2016

The SFI Affiliate Center (www.sfimg.com) is set to require ONE login per session.  Sessions are set at 45 minutes (the established standard duration for secure sites such as ours).  Furthermore, so long as you stay on any one page no longer than 45 minutes, you will remain logged in indefinitely.  The only exception to this is if SFI Administration has to restart the system.  This, however, happens very infrequently.

If you experiencing something other than what I've described above, then it is likely due to settings you are using on your personal computer that deal with accessing secure pages.

There are some common causes for failure to access secured SFI pages:

SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 must be checked in your internet options. In Internet Explorer, that is reached through the Tools menu at the top of the browser, under Internet Options and the Advanced tab.

Firewall programs, esecially Norton, often block access to our secure pages. If you are running a firewall, check the settings.

If you have disabled third party cookies, you will have to specify that www.sfimg.com is OK.

Also, if you are using IE (Internet Explorer), we recommend you switch to a more standards-compliant browser such as Firefox, Safari, or Chrome.
