PC X-Ray Plus software is a simple to use, great tool that can be run on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 computers and does not require you to install the software. The PC X-Ray Plus software consists of a single EXE file that, when run tells what hardware your computer system has in it without having to do the research. For example, what kind of video card does this computer have and how much memory is on the video card. Or maybe you want to know how much memory the computer has in each memory slot or when the operating was installed. There are a lot of hardware investigating that you can do with little effort. What's really cool is this tool can be used over a domain and you can easily reach out to other computers on your domain and look at what hardware other domain computers have if you know the remote computer name.
In addition to the hardware tools, PC X-Ray Plus also includes some great diagnostic tools. For example, with a click of a button, you can run a Fragment Report which gives you a quick % fragmentation for your hard drive. Or maybe you want to do a Hard Drive Error Check or a quick Hard Disk Cleanup. There are many diagnostic tools that are helpful. All are just a button click away.
Please note that this software was originally written for Windows XP and there a some slight limitations with Vista and Windows 7 which equates to 4 of the 24 buttons (Error Check, Fragment Rpt, Defrag and Windows Help Ctr) will not work correctly. Also the Msconfig button does not work with Windows 7.
