A B O U T T H E B O O K : Napoleon Hill ,the famous American author, was one of the earliest producers of the modern genre of personal-success literature. His most famous work, Think and Grow Rich, is one of the best-sellers of all time. Born into poverty in the town of Pound in rural Wise County, Virginia. Hill lost his mother at the age of ten. His father remarried. His writing career started at the age of 13 as a "mountain reporter" for small-town newspapers. With this earning he enrolled in a law school, but could not pursue further due tofinancial reasons. In 1908 an assignment, as part of a series of biographies of famous men, to interview industrialist Andrew Carnegie, who at the time was one of the richest men in the world probably changed his life. Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be elaborated in a simple formula that could be duplicated by the average person. Impressed with Hill, Carnegie commissioned him (without pay and only offering to provide him with letters of reference) to interview over 500 successful men and women, many of them millionaires, in order to discover and publish this formula for success. Hill interviewed many of the most famous people of the time. Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, John D. Rockefeller, Charles M. Schwab, F.W. Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, and Jennings Randolph were interviewed. It was a long project that lasted over twenty years. During this period, Hill became an advisor to Carnegie. The formula for rags-to-riches success that Hill and Carnegie formulated got published in 1928.in his book The Law of Success. 1937 Hill elaborated this success formula in his most famous work, Think and Grow Rich, which is still a rage and has sold over thirty million copies. It took Hill over 20 years to produce his book, a classic in the Personal Development field called Think and Grow Rich. This book has helped thousands achieve success. The secret to success is very simple but you'll have to read the book to find out what it is! Napoleon Hill passed away in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching, and lecturing about the principles of success. His work stands as a monument to individual achievement and is the cornerstone of modern motivation. His book, Think and Grow Rich, is the all time best-seller in the world.
