The cross is the symbol for Christianity.
We do not reflect over it in our daily lives when we look at a cross but actually it took a long time before the cross became to represent Christianity. This is because the Romans crucified criminals on crosses and it was not wished for to connect the Christian religion to criminals and especially the brutality in crucifixions. In early Christianity the fish or Noas Arc was used instead as symbols of the Christians.
Later on we must say the cross has been adapted all around the world.
