The technical goal of meditation is to slow down the frequency of your brain wave patterns
from around 13-40 cycles per second (Which is known as Beta - or normal waking
consciousness) to about 8-13 cycles per second (Which is known as Alpha - or light
trance)
the Alpha state, because while you are in this state it is
much easier for your subconscious mind to accept suggestions for change. This makes
Alpha an incredibly beneficial state for learning and personal development.
