Bob's Red Mill 13 Bean Soup Mix is a delicious way to include the health benefits of beans in your diet. Beans are high in fiber, rich in protein, low in fat, and contain no cholesterol. We have selected a unique, complimentary blend of beans for soups and chilies with exceptionally rich flavor and wholesome, stick-to-your-rib heartiness. Try the simple recipes on the back of the packet or use the beans for your favorite recipe calling for beans.
Basic Cooking Instructions:
2 Cups Bob's Red Mill® 13 Bean Soup Mix
2½ quarts water
1 cup chopped onion
1-15 oz can Tomato Sauce or 1 qt Tomatoes
1½ tsp to 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
2 tsp Garlic Powder or 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
Rinse 2 cups Bob's Red Mill® 13 Bean Soup Mix, then soak overnight. In the morning drain, rinse and bring 2½ quarts water to boil wit the beans and ham hock. Reduce heat and simmer 3 to 3½ hours. Add onion, tomato sauce or tomatoes and seasoning. Simmer 30 minutes. Makes 8-10 servings.
Other Ingredients: Navy beans, black beans, red beans, pinto beans, baby lima beans, large lima beans, garbanzo beans, great northern beans, kidney beans, black-eyed peas, yellow split peas, green split peas, lentils.

Keeps best refrigerated or frozen. Beans, peas, and lentils are natural agricultural products. Despite use of modern agricultural equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking.
