Love Letter is a beautifully intriguing and yet fast and easy card game for 2 to 4 players that uses just 16 cards... By "easy" I mean, it is easy to play once you have tried it a couple of times... You will still need to use your powers of deduction and memory (as well as a little luck) to win... Love Letter was released in 2012 in Japan by Japanese game designer Seiji Kanai. WIN THE HAND OF A JAPANESE PRINCESS... You are playing for the hand of a Japanese Princess who has just come of age... Unfortunately, gaining access to her is not so easy as she is confined to the palace, and you must communicate by letter and rely on go-betweens to deliver them for you... You must also prevent your rivals (the other players) from delivering their letters, and try to avoid their attempts to stop your letter from being delivered. To do that, you will use the services of court guards, samurai, advisers and others to win the heart of the Princess... Each time your letter is successfully delivered you will receive a token of affection from the Princess... The player with the most tokens wins the game - and the hand of the Princess! Gameplay: Shuffle the deck of 16 cards. Remove one card from play. Each player draws a card. The first player draws a second card and then plays one of his or her cards and performs the action the card allows, and so on, player by player until (1) only one player remains in the round or (2) all the cards have been drawn, in which case, the remaining players compare their cards and the player with the highest card wins a token of affection from the Princess! NOTE: The cards in this deck and the instructions are all in JAPANESE! This set is for Love Letter players who want to use the original Japanese language deck. This deck also contains extra cards that allow you to add more characters to the set.
