Suspense is a radio drama series broadcast on CBS Radio from 1942 through 1962. One of the premier drama programs of the Golden Age of Radio, was subtitled "radio's outstanding theater of thrills" and focused on suspense thriller-type scripts, usually featuring leading Hollywood actors of the era. The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog was originally a 1927 British silent film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film was released on 14 February 1927 in London and on 10 June 1928 in New York City. Based on a story by Marie Belloc Lowndes and the play Who Is He? co-written by Belloc Lowndes, the film is about the hunt for a "Jack the Ripper"-like serial killer in London. Audio Drama on CD as produced and distributed by The Again Shop is a dramatized, purely acoustic performance, broadcast. With no visual component, audio drama depends on dialogue, music and sound effects to help the listener imagine the characters and story: "It is auditory in the physical dimension but equally powerful as a visual force in the psychological dimension."
