I have always been fascinated by old maps, so I thought that I would paint my own version of a London map. Whilst driving along the Mile End Road one evening with a friend, she suddenly said that is was “Geezerland and Birdlandâ€, and I immediately got the idea of painting my own London map with Cockney terms. Thus the City is “greedâ€, Holland Park is “loadedâ€, and Westminster is the “managementâ€, etc.
